I love working abstractly and then seeing a story emerge. The white vertical line alludes to the ladder, with angels hovering around it, and another angel in the upper right flying in. Jacob is asleep on the ground below all the activity.
Painting with clay is my passion and my joy. Called clay monoprinting, it is a unique form of image transfer developed by Mitch Lyons. There is a spontaneity to this most satisfying process, and random surprises as colors and textures from previous layers come through in the print. Abstraction happens organically.
