This mixed-media clay monoprint makes use of mylar printed from my own photographs that was later used to make a silk screen. The mylar itself was too good not be used, and was perfect to finish this print!
Painting with clay is my passion and my joy. Called clay monoprinting, it is a unique form of image transfer developed by Mitch Lyons. There is a spontaneity to this most satisfying process, and random surprises as colors and textures from previous layers come through in the print. Abstraction happens organically.
