Many of my clay monoprints, incorporating the hamsa, or hand-shaped protective symbol sacred to many cultures, are called "Untitled" because the hamsa can have many meanings: protection, safety, compassion, good fortune, health, and happiness. It is for the viewer to decide which meanings speak to them at any given time.
Painting with clay is my passion and my joy. Called clay monoprinting, it is a unique form of image transfer developed by Mitch Lyons. There is a spontaneity to this most satisfying process, and random surprises as colors and textures from previous layers come through in the print. Abstraction happens organically. There is also some work in other media from earlier days that I left up just for fun. Welcome to my Print on Demand Website!
